Bellstar Suites at Solara Resort

Comfortable but needs some improvement. We stayed at the Solara for three nights and four days. Wow there were some good things about it. But there were also many cons. First of all the hotel was very dated and needed some repairs and upgrades. The carpeting to the bedroom was torn, and most of the carpeting was stained and soiled. The icemaker did not work, and we had to go down to the garage to get ice from the icemaker. The room was rather dark, and the lighting was dimmed. They could definitely use light bulbs that were brighter. It was also very hard to reach anybody if we needed anything. There was no phone in the unit, and when I called Customer Service most of the times I just got voicemail. When I left a message, nobody called me back. Finally the second day I reached a person and was able to get what I needed. The pros: We had an incredible shower, bathtub. The washer dryer was very good and fairly new. And most of the appliances were great as well. We had enough plates, silverware, and utensils for our stay, and the bed was comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and I loved the fireplaces. It was an ideal location, very close to the shops and easy access to the highway Overall, we had a good stay, but it was hard to give it a five star rating because of the cons. .

Would come again.. . There were no luggage carts available in the parkade or by the elevator, this was very inconvenient when checking in and out. Could not get the living room fireplace to work, and the furniture in the living room was pretty uncomfortable. Not a dislike; but an nice thick area rug in the living room would make the room feel more cozy..

Very good. Stayed for 3 nights while visiting the area. Very comfortable accommodations that meet our expectations.. .

Pretty good. The suite was nice and clean.. The bath robes were not soft, they were crunchy. The gas fireplace in the living room squeaked consistently for the first day..

Disappointed. We have stayed at this resort two times before and loved it, this time however, we were very disappointed. The first thing we encountered when we walked in was a dirty barstool with a potato chip laying on it. The furniture was very run down. There were stains on the throw pillows, the chair in the living room was visibly dirty. I had phoned and asked if there was coffee provided and was told yes then I went to make it and there were no filters so we were unable to make coffee. Overall it felt like we were punished for booking through Expedia maybe?? Just super disappointed overall this time.. .

Two night stay for a weekend getaway Canmore is a wonderful town to visit.the scenery is exceptional. Room was very spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath suite. Well supplied kitchen area with all utensils and cookware. Hallways and public areas are getting tired Elevator in one building out of service. The first front end receptionist we dealt with was not overly friendly or helpful.

The room was bigger than most and the beds were comfortable. The elevator was not working due to repair. The pool is small and not inviting. The hot tub was cool the first night and not working. .
